URA sets 31st December ultimatum for clearance arrears
Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has revealed its plan to use technology to stamp out corruption, especially within its internal operations. The URA Commissioner General, John R. Musinguzi, also warned taxpayers who have not met their obligations to settle their arrears before December 31st, after which they will face hefty penalties. The taxman has set an ambitious revenue collection target of 31.57 trillion shillings for this financial year. Ronah Nahabwe reports.
