EC launches national voter registration update
The general update of the National Voters' Register has officially started across the country. This is one of the critical activities being conducted by the Electoral Commission in preparation for the 2026 general elections. According to the roadmap, the Electoral Commission will oversee 29 electoral activities in total, with the climax being the polling period for presidential, parliamentary and local government council leaders due to take place between 12th January and 9th February, 2026.
