Several roads blocked, armored vehicles patrol city
For once, Kampala Capital City could be mistaken for a battleground due to the heavy deployment of police and soldiers in various parts of the city. The officers were deployed to quell the highly anticipated anti-corruption protests. Despite the heavy deployment, business in the city proceeded as normal. Daniel Kibet reports that no destruction of property or loss of lives has been reported, but some demonstrators were arrested.
