Betty Amongi shifts polling station, set to challenge Aceng for Lira parliamentary seat
Gender Minister Betty Amongi has raised the stakes by rallying supporters to join her as she registers with the Electoral Commission, relocating her polling station from Akaidebe Village in Oyam District to the Senior Quarters ‘A’ Polling Station in Lira City. This move effectively means that she will contest the parliamentary seat currently held by Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, the Minister for Health and a National Resistance Movement party member. The only difference is that Amongi will be running on the UPC ticket.
