Bishop Ochan calls for focus on mental health in Northern Uganda
The Bishop of Arua Diocese, Sabino Ochan Odoki, has called on the government to prioritize mental health issues for people in Northern Uganda and refugees in the settlements if the country is to have a productive population. According to the Bishop, peace in the region cannot be achieved if cases of drug abuse, mental illness, and malnutrition remain high. The Bishop made these remarks during the ongoing 18th Provincial Prayer Peace Week, currently taking place at St. Charles Lwanga College, Koboko playgrounds in Koboko Municipality, under the theme, "Forgive us our trespasses, grant us your peace."
