Buganda Road court denies Besigye's release, stays proceedings
Buganda Road Court Magistrate Winnie Nankya has declined to grant an order for the release of Dr. Kizza Besigye, stating that there is a similar case filed in the High Court, which takes precedence due to its higher authority. The court has also stayed the proceedings of Dr. Kizza Besigye and Samuel Lubega Mukaaku for 60 days, acknowledging that he cannot stand trial due to his current condition. Besigye was not present in court when the decision was made.
