Busia mining firm donates items to the elderly
About 200 elderly persons in Alupe, Akipeneti, and Amagoro villages have received food items from Wagagai Gold Mining Company. Adam Wang, the deputy manager of the company, says Wagagai will, by next year, start mining gold in the area. Wagagai Mining Limited is a subsidiary of Liaoning Hongda Enterprise, a Beijing-based company, and has invested $200 million in Alupe in Busia District in the exploration, mining, processing, and smelting of gold.
