Congolese fishermen who were arrested in Uganda freed
The Fisheries Protection Unit has handed over 14 Congolese nationals who had been arrested and detained for carrying out illegal fishing on lakes Edward and Albert. The army had also impounded over 60 boats and engines from Congolese nationals that have also been handed over to Congolese authorities. Meanwhile, Congo had also arrested four Ugandan nationals and impounded 16 boats and engines that have also been handed over to the Fisheries Protection Unit.
