Court releases lawyer Eron Kiiza’s passport for medical travel
Kampala High Court Judge David Matovu has ordered the release of the passport of Besigye’s lawyer, Eron Kiiza, to enable him to travel to Costa Rica next month to receive medical treatment. Kiiza's passport was retained by the High Court as one of his bail conditions pending the hearing and determination of an appeal he filed challenging the nine-month jail sentence handed to him by the Makindye General Court Martial for contempt of court on January 7, 2025.
