Eastern Uganda towns grapple with rise in street children
Some children in eastern Uganda have lived on the streets for more than ten years. Street children have flooded Malaba town and other cities of Mbale and Soroti and survive on begging money. However, with the Mbale Remand Home facing structural hurdles, there seems to be no remedy to the scourge, yet residents complain of theft and other vices.
