How Pope Francis inspired priests to rebuild a forest
The Pope’s 2015 letter, Laudato Si’, which emphasized the restoration of the environment, has contributed significantly to the recovery of the destroyed Nandere Forest in Kasana–Luwero District. The letter touched the hearts of the priests and sparked a campaign to save the environment and educate people on how they can protect and preserve our Mother Earth. Those working to save the forest say the Pope's death has encouraged them to continue protecting the environment, as he urged in his letter.
