Judiciary gazettes remand homes as magistrate courts
Managers of various remand homes across Uganda have welcomed an initiative by the Judiciary to gazette them as magisterial courts. They say the move would substantially reduce case backlog. They are now calling on the Ministry of Gender, Labour, and Social Development to facilitate these remand homes to ensure that proper court structures are set up in the homes.
