Kampala Archdiocese returns land title, clearing way for burial
It has been a week since Maria Thereza Nakibuuka, an elderly landowner from Bbira Lubange, Nakuwadde in Wakiso district, passed away. However, her burial has been delayed due to claims by her relatives that she had given the Kampala Archdiocese her land title. Today, the family petitioned both Catholic Church clergy and the Buganda Kingdom for resolution, with discussions also involving the State House Land Protection Unit. In a significant turn of events this evening, the Kampala Archdiocese Land Committee has now returned the disputed land title to the family, paving the way for reconciliation and the long-awaited burial arrangements to proceed
