KISENYI BUILDING COLLAPSE: Tragic accident blamed on lack of supervision, regulation
Building regulator, The National Building Review Board has distanced itself from a clearance for the development of yesterday's collapsed storeyed structure in Kisenyi. This as Kampala capital city authority executive director, Dorothy Kisaka cited the failure in supervision and possible acts of corruption as being responsible for the disaster. Preliminary findings by the National Building Review Board indicate that the integrity of the structure was compromised after the temporary support pillars of the top floor failed.
