Landslide survivors in Bunambutye hit by storm
Hundreds of residents, many of them landslide survivors in Bunambutye, are in shock after a storm hit their camp following a heavy downpour last evening, sweeping their tents away. The tents, which host over 750 people, were literally swept aside by the rains. The government recently relocated landslide survivors from Buluganya Sub-county and other sub-counties to this area to save them from landslides. Now, the people are asking the government to speed up the process of allocating them land and providing funds so they can set up new homes.
