Lawyers weigh in on DPP plan to implement Supreme Court decision
The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has constituted a team of prosecutors to handle files of civilians already charged or undergoing criminal trials before military courts, once the documents are submitted to the DPP.
This follows a decision by the Supreme Court, which ruled that the trial of civilians in the military courts is unconstitutional.
