Lira City pushes for Airport construction to boost economy
Lira City, home to around 100 industries, seeks to establish commercial flights by constructing an airport, as there is available land for the project. The current airfield in the industrial area has a short runway, unable to accommodate large commercial planes. Area leaders are asking the government to include the airport construction in the national budget, which would boost the region’s economy.
