Ministry of Tourism assures public amid Sudan Ebola outbreak
Following the Ministry of Health's declaration of an outbreak of Sudan Ebola Virus Disease on January 30th, with one death confirmed in Kampala, the Ministry of Tourism has maintained that there is no cause for worry. The Director of Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities, Dr. Basil Ajer, has encouraged all stakeholders, including tour operators, to stay calm. While there may be one or two cancellations, it should not be alarming. These revelations were made during discussions of the new Museums and Monuments Act 2023. Ronah Nahabwe reports.
