Nabbanja: Relocate from all disaster-prone areas
The government has directed that all Ugandans residing in landslide-prone areas, especially along the slopes of Mt. Elgon, should relocate to safer areas before another catastrophe strikes. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja issued this directive today at her office in Kampala during a crisis meeting called to address the situation in Bulambuli District. This follows last night's landslide that swept through villages, leaving 14 people dead and dozens missing.
