Nakasero vendors urge govt to address fruit quality issues
Nakasero fruit vendors, particularly those dealing in oranges, lemons, and tangerines, have cautioned the government and the Ministry of Agriculture to take action on the quality of fruits being sold in the market. According to the vendors, fruit farmers have resorted to harvesting raw and immature fruits, leading to poor-quality produce and a loss of market. They urge the government to come forward and sensitize as well as regulate farmers on the quality of fruits they should bring to the market.
