Nakawa mayor urges government to support small businesses amid KCCA crackdowns
Paul Mugambe, the Mayor of Nakawa Division, has called on the government to stop frustrating small businesses and entrepreneurs with heavy taxes and instead support them to reach their full potential. His call comes at a time when the city authority, KCCA, has resumed crackdowns on hawkers and other small businesses under the Trade Order Ordinance. Mugambe was speaking at the launch of the CODE Lab in Nakawa Division, which seeks to empower female entrepreneurs with digital skills.
