NIRA postpones national ID exercise to next month
The National Identification and Registration Authority has postponed the mass enrolment and renewal of national identification cards to July next month. The exercise was supposed to start on the 1st of June this month but was never executed as planned. NIRA's Executive Director, Rosemary Kisembo, has attributed the postponement to what she called unforeseen delays in the procurement process.
