NRM old guard: Crispus Kiyonga aims to reclaim Bukonzo West seat
With more than 40 years of public service, we turn the spotlight to Dr. Crispus Walter Kiyonga. Since first entering Parliament in 1980 at just 28 years old, Kiyonga has been a steadfast figure in Uganda’s political landscape. Now serving as Chancellor of Makerere University, many believed he had stepped away from politics after losing his Bukonzo West parliamentary seat to Godfrey Atkins Katusabe in 2016. Yet, defying expectations, Dr. Kiyonga is back on the campaign trail, determined to reclaim his former constituency.
