NUP donates calves to Teso elders in protest over unpaid livestock compensation
The leadership of the Opposition National Unity Platform, together with their coordinators in the Teso sub-region, have handed over several calves to selected elders in the region. The party says this is a gesture to show that they are saddened by the government's failure to equitably compensate the people of Teso who lost their livestock during past insurgencies. The politicians are in the area to mobilise NUP supporters and mobilisers to protect their vote ahead of the 2026 polls.
