Prosecution unveils evidence against Besigye in treason plot
Today, the prosecution revealed that they are ready to present evidence implicating Dr. Kizza Besigye, Hajj Obeid Lutale, and Captain Denis Oola in an alleged botched plot to overthrow the government using arms. In a lengthy indictment, the prosecution stated that they will produce video and audio recordings from meetings held in Greece, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Nairobi. During these meetings, the accused are said to have plotted to assassinate President Yoweri Museveni using drone strikes.
