NUP officials plan to take legal action action against police
Leaders of the opposition party, the National Unity Platform, are planning to take legal action against the Uganda Police Force after Tuesday’s confrontation in Bulindo, Kira Municipality, where Party President Robert Kyagulanyi was injured. While some eyewitnesses claim he was struck by a teargas canister, the Uganda Police have dismissed these claims, saying a thorough investigation will reveal the truth. Kyagulanyi, who was discharged from Nsambya Hospital yesterday, is now recovering at his Magere residence. David Ijjo has more on this.
