Shortage in funding stalls NWSC projects upcountry
The National Water and Sewerage Corporation's water infrastructure body has reported significant delays in the completion of its upcoming water projects due to dwindling funding and outstanding water bills, both from customers and government agencies. These challenges and concerns about the future of water supply and sanitation across the country were raised to the parliamentary committee on natural resources, which is currently performing its oversight role in the Bugisu and Teso regions.
