Tea growers petition parliament over low prices
A section of tea growers and processors from Kabarole District have petitioned Parliament over the low prices of the cash crop, with some players already dropping out of business and calling for immediate government intervention. The farmers presented their petition to the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, who advised them not to rush into cutting down their plantations over the low prices until the House looked into the matter.
