Tobacco Taxation Coalition urges MPs to review Cigarette Tax Policy
Members of the Uganda Tobacco Taxation Coalition have asked MPs on the Parliamentary committees of Finance, Budget, and Health to review the taxation policy on cigarette products. The tax coalition urges the government to strengthen the tobacco policy and structure, which will contribute to reducing tobacco use in Uganda. They argue that this will help lessen the growing burden of non-communicable diseases.
