Traffic police push for mandatory taxi inspections
The Traffic Police is advocating for a dedicated body to conduct mandatory vehicle inspections nationwide to eliminate old, poorly maintained taxis (DMCs). This comes as the condition of many taxis continues to deteriorate, worrying passengers. Reports indicate that 84,156 taxis were impounded last year for being in poor mechanical condition, raising concerns about passenger safety.
