Uganda - Kinshasa agree to remove visa restrictions
Ugandans intending to trade within the vast Democratic Republic of Congo market will soon be relieved of costly visa restrictions for entry and exit, each costing up to $155. These resolutions are part of a series of agreements reached between the two countries during the 8th joint permanent commission held in Kinshasa, led by Uganda's First Deputy Prime Minister and EAC Affairs Minister, Rebecca Kadaga, and Mmbusa Nyamwisi, the State Minister for Regional Integration. They also signed agreements with the URA and other government departments and agencies, and a roadmap to implementation. The DRC has a population of 102 million people.
