Union of Hope launches bicycle initiative for HIV-positive mothers
The fight against HIV/AIDS poses enormous challenges in Kwania District in Northern Uganda, as some patients survive on borrowed antiretrovirals (ARVs) amid food insecurity. Some have to walk long distances to access the drugs. However, the Union of Hope, a community-based organization, has come up with the bicycle initiative to help improve the adherence to treatment of HIV-positive mothers.
