Western bishops tip Christians on wealth creation
Mbarara Archdiocesan Christians have been urged to embrace development evangelization, aimed at nurturing their economic survival alongside their Christian beliefs. According to Rev Fr Joseph Birungi the parish priest of Nyamigisa Catholic parish, whereas the church relies upon the Christians to carry out its work, this support can only be obtained when the flock is economically self-reliant. As such, the diocese has now partnered with various government agencies like the Uganda Coffee Development Authority to embrace coffee growing to eradicate poverty. This was during the visit of Mbarara Archdiocese Ecclesiastical Bishops at Hoima catholic diocese head office.
