Winnie Byanyima proposes dialogue to resolve political stalemate
Winnie Byanyima, the wife of the incarcerated opposition veteran and former four-time presidential candidate Kiiza Besigye, has proposed dialogue to resolve the current political stalemate. Byanyima suggests that Besigye, whom she describes as a democrat, would be open to engaging in dialogue to address the deteriorating rule of law. However, the holding of political dialogue is contingent on having a transparent objective led by a neutral mediator, not affiliated with either the government or the opposition.
