Election Buzz: Parties gear up for 2026 with rising tensions and challenges

It’s a beehive of activity in various political parties as they prepare for the 2026 general elections. The fight to secure party flags to contest for various elective positions is raging. This week, we witnessed over 100 people showing up at the Electoral Commission to pick forms to contest for president. Some parties, such as the Forum for Democratic Change, have already launched their campaign manifestos.
