As tensions rise on the streets of Kampala, a different kind of conflict is emerging in northern Uganda, where a silent war is brewing in the heart of Lira City as campaigns for the forthcoming January 2026 General Elections draw closer.
For instance, campaign posters and banners belonging to Ms. Betty Amongi, a prominent Uganda People’s Congress party member and Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, who is contesting for the Lira City Woman MP seat.
