FDC vows to tackle youth unemployment in post-2026 strategy

More than half of Uganda’s population falls within the working-age group, according to the 2024 National Population and Housing Census. However, a significant portion of this population—particularly the youth, who are typically considered a highly productive demographic—remains unemployed.

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) views this situation as a national crisis requiring urgent intervention. In an upcoming report, Daniel Kibet will explore how the FDC plans to address unemployment in Uganda, should the party emerge victorious in the 2026 presidential elections.
