In Osaka, Japan, Uganda’s Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja took center stage at Expo 2025, delivering a high-stakes pitch to market Uganda as a strategic destination for Japanese investment. Flanked by Hon. Yoshitaka Ito, Japan’s Minister in Charge of the Osaka 2025 Expo, Nabbanja highlighted Uganda’s untapped tourism assets, mineral wealth, digital ambitions, and a suite of investor-friendly incentives—a gesture of the government’s intent to deepen economic ties with Tokyo. Also present during the visit were the Minister of State for Trade, Mbaddi, and a delegation from the Free Zones and Export Promotion Authority of Uganda.
