Power data gaps hinder energy access

Energy data on how power is generated and distributed across the country can’t be ignored. From generation to transmission and distribution, there is a need for harmony in data sets if the 2,000 megawatts of power generated is to be evenly distributed. The inadequacy in data management is reflected in the sums spent on deemed energy, while a sizable population—43%—remains without access. Rachael Nabisubi reports.
