Nearly a month into the 2026 general election campaigns, Uganda is witnessing a largely peaceful race. The contest features incumbent President Yoweri Museveni of the NRM, FDC’s Nandala Mafabi, NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, Common Man’s Party candidate Mubarak Munyagwa, Conservative Party’s Joseph Mabirizi, Frank Bulira of the Revolutionary People’s Party, Mugisha Muntu of the Alliance for National Transformation, and Robert Kasibante of the National Unity Party.
