The controversial parliamentary first regional sitting in Gulu, to take stock of the electorates’ concerns, closed on Friday with a list s of 36 Northern Uganda-specific demands and action points raised. Key among the concerns included the deplorable state of the roads and bridges network that has left the majority of rural dwellers on the brink and adrift of opportunities. The crisis, is, however, a copy and paste across the country. Yet, analysis of several policy documents details that billions of shillings are allocated annually for road maintenance, but which money seeps through the ground.
