At least 11 activists have stormed the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC), urging it to act urgently and compel Ugandan security agencies to disclose the whereabouts and condition of two Kenyan nationals, Nicholas Oyoo and Bob Njagi.
The duo was allegedly kidnapped and has been held illegally for nearly a week. The activists went to the Commission to deliver their petition, carrying Ugandan and Kenyan flags as a symbol of unity. The petition calls on the Commission to investigate the circumstances surrounding the arrest and continued incommunicado detention of the two men.
