Arts teachers strike over pay gap, urge economic empowerment

Arts teachers have started a strike to demand a salary increase. They say it’s unfair for the government not to enhance their salaries, as was the case for their counterparts who teach sciences. However, they note that their need for economic empowerment can’t be solved by better salaries alone, but also by engaging in other income-generating activities.
