Bilharzia in Kabarole, tropical disease ravages villages due to contaminated water

In the rural areas of Kabarole District, water scarcity is forcing communities to make difficult choices. For instance, in Kasenda Sub-county, residents from six villages depend on water from Ruigo Crater Lake for domestic and agricultural use. However, bilharzia, an almost forgotten tropical disease, is ravaging the villages due to the contamination of the water. Betty Mudondo brings us this report.
