Government and donor grants reach limited beneficiaries

Concerns are growing over the effectiveness of government and donor funding in Uganda’s tourism sector, with stakeholders warning that much of the support fails to reach intended beneficiaries. Industry players say interest rates on available funds remain high and out of reach, particularly for women investors. The remarks were made at the Presidential CEO Forum on tourism in Entebbe last week.
