Entebbe International Airport has recently set a new record for the highest number of passengers in its history, as reported by Vianney Lugya, Manager Public Affairs at Uganda Civil Aviation Authority. A total of 7,437 passengers were recorded per day, surpassing the previous record of 7,171 passengers in 2024. The airport is now contemplating the opening of a newly constructed passenger terminal, spanning 20,000 square meters and equipped with three aero-bridges and 24 check-in counters. The surge in passenger numbers is credited to improved tourism promotion and the successful hosting of various events such as the ongoing CHAN tournament.
