The government has operationalised a new data-driven Area-Based Commodity Development (ABCD) portal to track and visualise the value chains of commodities such as coffee, maize, and tea across 15 sub-regions. The portal features interactive dashboards and GIS maps that display each sub-region’s performance and the related public investments. It is designed to support faster, evidence-based decision-making for government, businesses, and citizens alike. According to Dianah Nannono, head of the Private Sector Development Unit at the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, the tool will make it easier to monitor performance across sub-regions.
