Hundreds of runners converged at Makerere University Freedom Square this morning before participating in the various kilometer races of the annual Makerere University Run, also known as the Mak Run. This year’s theme was “Run the Hills for the Future,” and proceeds will go towards supporting students with disabilities by providing facilities that make their stay on campus more favorable. The event included various race categories, such as a 3km fun run, a 5km sprint, a 10km challenge, a half marathon (21km), and a full marathon (42km).
