Based on the recent UBOS report, which indicated that 80% of disease outbreaks are due to poor garbage disposal, leaders in Nakawa Division, together with the Kampala Capital City Authority under their Wetyonje Campaign, have reminded residents in GizaGiza, Mbuya 2 Parish, about the need to promote sanitation through proper solid waste disposal. Residents have been encouraged to embrace garbage sorting, whereby polythene bags and other plastic materials can be burnt, and biodegradable waste can be used as household manure.
