Reports have emerged of a massive effort to compromise delegates expected to vote in the NRM’s internal elections for top party positions scheduled for next week. According to reliable sources, the effort is likely to jeopardize the credibility of the entire exercise, some contestants have warned. This comes amidst concerns that some candidates are hiding potential voters to disadvantage their competitors on the D-day. Candidates are now urging the NRM Secretariat and the party’s Electoral Commission to monitor the issue and take stringent action against the culprits.
